I am very excited to let all of you know about an amazing project that was initiated by Julie Van Rosendaal of the blog, Dinner with Julie. After the devastating earthquake that left Haiti in shambles, Julie committed herself to helping with the relief efforts. Julie’s dedication, effort, and selflessness debuted today in the form of an absolutely stunning cookbook.

BlogAid-Recipes for Haiti is a compilation of recipes and photographs from twenty-seven fabulous, talented and generous food writers. All of the proceeds from BlogAid-Recipes for Haiti will go straight to Haitian relief via the Red Cross and Doctors without Borders. That’s not all though! Both West Canadian AND Blurb are matching the dollar amount of the proceeds raised up to $10,000 and until February 12th, the Canadian government will match that amount.

The book launched today at midnight, and as of 6 PM 416 books have sold, which translates with the matched funds to $17,674.80 US ($18,666.36 CAD) for relief in Haiti. Just imagine the potential!

The cookbook is printed using a POD (print-on-demand) system, meaning the books are printed and shipped as they’re ordered and arrive at your doorstep in about 8 days.

You can purchase the hardcover version ($50) by clicking here OR
The softcover version ($25) by clicking here. You can also preview the cookbook via these links.

You can visit the BlogAid-Recipes for Haiti blog and check out the amazing list of contributors.

I am truly honored to be a part of BlogAid-Recipes for Haiti and would like to personally thank Julie, the amazing team of bloggers, and all of the other individuals that contributed to this project.

Thanks so much for taking the time to check out the cookbook! If you decide to purchase a copy, I would like to personally thank you for your generosity. It would be amazing if you would pass on the links to your friends and family, the more people we can get involved, the bigger the impact!

~Together we are greater than when we stand alone.

It’s beautiful!! I just received mine yesterday….and I love it! You all did a great job pulling this whole thing off. My hat is off to all of you. I can’t wait to read it cover to cover.

I’m 6 months into this “food blogging” thing, and now I have something to show my friends & family that might not get it. So cool!! I did pass this info onto my FB and Twitter followers before the deadline in hopes to help out. Thanks again!
