I made these recently for school and they went as fast as you say they did when your boyfriend brought them to work! I have had co-workers bugging me for weeks to make these again and I am finally doing so – thanks for sharing this great (super simple) recipe and I hoe things are going well

These look and sound yummy! Will be trying soon….if Honey Crisp Apples are not available, what is your suggestion for the next best apple to use – Granny Smith? One other question – ‘chopped’ apple…how small or big did you chop them? Thanks for all your good recipes and postings.

I really do not know what the problem would be as I am not too familiar with scaling US measurements to work for UK bakers. I am sorry I cannot be of more help to you.

Hey there,
I had a go at making these squaures today as they look absolutely delicious, however mine have turned out completely wrong and are too cakey and dry. I was expecting the bars to be denser and more brownie like so I’m really disappointed, although I’m sure its nothing to do with your recipe. What could I have done wrong? I’m from the UK and I’m not so good at working with cup measurements- maybe I got the proportions of ingredients wrong? Please help! I’d really like to have a go at doing these again but I don’t want them to turn out like they did this time!

I have made these several times ,/they are one of the most delicious bars that i know of….One exception ,I make a caramel sauce and drizzle over ,Delicious as can be .this is definately a winner ,Anyone wondering about making it,If you love apples and caramel ,just go for it…..Truly delicious

my hole family loves apples, so this is a must try in my home. I love the look too this would be a good hoilday dessert. you know you get a lot of apples at christmas time. now if you could them with peaches, sounds good 2. Yummm, thanks for this.

I saw these bars on your site,made them ,and are they ever wonderful,We have a friend who came over ,just after I baked them ,He absolutely loved them .
He just asked that I make them again for him……..one exception ,i make a caramel glaze and drizzle over them,not caramel candies…….one of my favorite recipes……thanks for the great recipe.
