I have made this recipe more times than I can count. The batter should definitely not be spreading. Can you tell me which brand of cake mix you used? Did anyone actually mix these up? Right now I’m looking at a mixture that looks more like cake batter than cookie dough. The batter just spreads out when I put it on the cookie sheet. Sigh, I’ll add mor flour.

I’m glad you posted the cake mix cookie recipe! I use to make a cake mix cookie, but lost the recipe. I like to make from scratch too, but sometimes .. a whip-it-together is awesome.
