I have had many blenders in my day, the most recent one I owned, I managed to melt and warp in the dishwasher. I knew it was a bad sign when I came home to a house that smelled like burning plastic! I always buy new ones with the thought of making lots of healthy smoothies.

However, once I use them, I am always underwhelmed with their less than stellar smoothie making abilities. I am not a fan of hacking on a large chunk of ice when I supposed to be in smooth creamy beverage bliss.

Needless to say I was thrilled to be given the opportunity to check out a Blendtec Total Blender, in fact I headed to Costco to check out the demo that following weekend. I was even more pumped after watching the demo guy pulverize grain into flour and make hot soup. Yes, I just said hot soup from room temperature ingredients, no cooking involved!

The sleek Blendtec design makes it appealing enough to be a permanent fixture on my counter. This multipurpose machine is the all in one appliance that makes smoothies, fresh juice, ice cream, milkshakes, cappuccinos, margaritas, soups, sauces, bread dough, dressings, salsas, and more! It replaces up to 9 other appliances with one fast easy-to-use machine, at a fraction of the cost. This machine is crazy powerful {1560 Watts} and will literally turn ice into snow.

Since I received this blender, I have used it at least once a day, everyday. I honestly don’t think I could live without it or my perfectly blended morning smoothie.

Oh and maybe you have seen their quirky Will it Blend Series on YouTube, here is my fave due to its comical reference of rappers! Seriously, if you have a few minutes to burn, you need to watch some of these, Tom Dickson is a hoot!
