I don’t know about you, but I tend to think of a really good knife as one of my top three essential kitchen tools. Even the greatest knife, however, gets dull after time. Especially if you’re using it every single day, in a multitude of ways.

When I think of knives, I also think of things like carving a turkey – a Thanksgiving job that fell to my dad every year without fail, regardless of whom else was in attendance. Have you ever tried to carve a turkey with a dull knife? Talk about a Thanksgiving mess!

While I would honestly prefer a manual pull through sharpener; I believe the Edgeware Ceramic Edge Gourmet Electric Knife Sharpener would be the best fit for my kitchen.

Wish my toaster included a cleaning brush!

Honestly, I have never had a knife sharpener. However, along with that I have very dull knives. This would be nice.

I don’t have a lot of counter or cabinet space so this smaller one would be easier to store. Right now I have a manual sharpener which works fine but an electric one would be soooo nice.
376 penny June 18, 2011 at 8:00 pm: I would get the Edgeware 4-Slot Pull-Thru Manual Knife Sharpener. I have okay knives, but my dad keeps them super sharp. I just take them home to him whenever they start to lose an edge. I’m 33 though, it might be time to learn to sharpen on my own.
