One of the most popular questions I get asked by my readers wanting to recreate my recipes is, “What tools do you find essential in the kitchen?” There are two appliances I look to most often to create all of the baked goods you see on My Baking Addiction. The first you can probably guess. The second is far too underrated, and I’m here to set that right.
I love my KitchenAid stand mixer more than you could possibly imagine, but countless times I forgo it and whip out my KitchenAid hand mixer for simple jobs.
I find my hand mixer to be one of the handiest tools in my kitchen arsenal. You can have one of the best of KitchenAid products, even if you can’t afford the stand mixer. It’s got five speeds and ultra power, making it incredibly versatile. Most recently I have used my KitchenAid hand mixer to make this scrumptious Oreo Cake and super simple Beer Bread.
They even offer three colors in case you have a themed kitchen. I rock the white version in my kitchen, but I find the other two options to be quite sleek! A quick surf on over to the KitchenAid website will give you an idea of why my wishlist on that site is epically long. I’m pretty sure yours will be too.

Been a fan of Kitchen Aid For over ten years. Have a lot of their products. I have a KA hand mixer but would love to win this one to give to my Grand daughter she loves cooking with grandpa. Had a hard time finding colors for hand mixers…they are sold out! But I would go with the pink one in memory of my Mama. She taught me everything I know about baking and life and I miss her so much. I own a big black Kitchen Aid and I named it Betty after my mom. So the pink one would be Betty Jr. Cancer took my mom, but I am a 10 year survivor from Breast Cancer. So the pink will remind me to LIVE every day to the fullest and be thankful for Gods healing grace.

Ahh, a new mixer would be lovely. I bought a cheap hand mixer (10$!) a decade ago when I was starting university, and it is still going strong. Except. . . I’ve gotten chocolate in all of the vents and I’m not sure how to get it out, or whether I should bother. Perhaps mixer-makers should take melted chocolate into accound when they position their vents.

I love this mixer, I use it for absolutely everything. I just moved into a new apartment and had to steal my mom’s from home, because I haven’t gotten my own yet. I think my favorite color is actually the white one.

I would choose white since my 25 year old Kitchen Aid mixer is white!
I already have a white hand mixer (which is on its last legs!) so the red mixer would be a great change of pace. Pick me, please!

I’m doing RED these days. I got a red stand mixer from The Mister for the holidays a few years back and went forth. Yes I think Kitchen-Aid will get some of my business this Christmas too. My hand-held mixer (not a Kitchen-Aid) is probably the oldest appliance in my cupboard. Dangerous almost, with a bad cord. Random .org might be saving a life or three if the light shines on this number. Well, let’s not count on it and make a wishlist instead. Love your blog. Look at me – I’m writing a book!
