Whenever people ask me about the tools I use in my kitchen, I think they’re surprised to hear that one of our most used appliances is a food processor.
To be honest, I think a food processor is as vital as a solid chef’s knife. From shredding big blocks of cheddar for mac and cheese to finely shredding zucchini for Zucchini Cookies, I use my food processor all the time.
I recently got the chance to review the 16 cup Magimix by Robot-Coupe Food Processor with the Juice Extractor and SmoothieMix attachment.
I didn’t think a food processor could get any more useful – until I used the Magimix by Robot-Coupe. Being able to make fresh juices, sorbets, and smoothies on the spot, without any additional machinery is exactly what I’m talking about!
The Magimix by Robot-Coupe comes with three work bowls that fit inside each other, which means you can complete entire recipes without stopping to wash a bowl. That’s pretty slick.
Winging its way all the way from Burgundy, France, the Magimix by Robot-Coupe’s motor is extra quiet. I could barely hear it, and Brian definitely couldn’t hear it from the next room. Made by the French company that made the first food processor ever created, they’re also the only company in the world that manufactures their own food processor motors. Clearly they know what they’re doing.
We’ve been whipping up smoothies for breakfast and salsas for dinner since this little powerhouse arrived in our lives. It would make the perfect gift for the foodie mom in your life this Mother’s Day.

My mother-in-law is no longer with us and my mother is over 1000 miles away. I’ll spend a lot of time on the phone with her today.
I plan on celebrating Mother’s day with a family get together with lots of great food, laughs, and family photos to preserve the memories.

We’re celebrating a mother’s life a little differently. My sister-in-law has terminal cancer, so we’re spending the weekend with her. We went through a couple boxes of slides and the family did a lot of reminiscing.
