MetroKitchen and My Baking Addiction have teamed up again to provide MBA readers with a fantastic giveaway for a Viking Professional Hand Blender plus Chopper Set.

When we polled our lovely Facebook followers about their favorite kitchen tools, quite a few people referenced stick/immersion blenders as either being something they have and love or something they covet!  If you’ve never used an immersion blender, it is definitely a tool that every baker and cook should have in their gadget arsenal.   The Viking Hand blender houses a 300 watt motor and includes both a blade and whisk attachment.  It’s quite small, yet has a cord that reaches up to 5 feet which provides convenience when moving throughout the kitchen.

I am such a soup lover in the wintertime.  There is something so comforting about escaping the frigid winter air to enjoy a creamy bowl of piping hot soup, which is why, as soon as my Viking Professional Hand blender arrived, I decided to try it out by making one of my favorites,  Broccoli-Cheese soup.   This hand blender was easy to use and I couldn’t get over how quickly I achieved the creamy texture I was craving.

As I have found through my years of culinary exploration, an increase in gadgets results in a decrease in space; however, this blender is quite compact, so it takes up very little space, even in my cramped kitchen.  Not only is it easy to use and store, it’s extremely versatile and will help you attack all of your culinary endeavors with ease.  including soups, smoothies, creams, and even chopping ice.

If you’re not the lucky winner of this Viking Hand Blender,  then I highly recommend coasting on over to MetroKitchen to purchase one for yourself.  It’s so worth it!

I have been dying to get an immersion blender just because I don’t have the space in my tiny apartment for a food processor! But, besides the blender, I would love a set of the lovely global knives they’re selling :)

Emile Henry Pizza Stone. Hands down. I recently started making pizza dough from scratch, and while I think my dough is amazing, it could use the help of a pizza stone!

Besides an immersion blender, which has been at the top of my list for forever, I have been coveting a glass salter kitchen scale, so that would have to be my second choice.
