Giveaway: Weck Canning Jar Set

You know how I love food in jars? From trifles to crisps to cheesecakes, I just think it looks more adorable, more portable, and more appealing in a beautiful glass jar.

I’ve long been a fan of Weck Jars. They offer more versatility than any other jar that I’ve used. Weck recently contacted me and offered to send me four of my favorite jars: Their 1.5 litre and mini mold jars, deco jars, and juice jars. I. Am. In. Love.

Weck canning jars are different than what you find at your local chain store. Their sleek, tapered design gives them a modern appeal even though though these German canning jars have been around since 1900. They have glass lids that can be used again and again for canning (which I haven’t tried, but Amber and Tracy tell me it’s a good thing!), but also, because the lids are glass, there is no BPA lining on them. I like that no matter what I choose to do with these jars, I am not exposing the food in them to BPA.

They’re dishwasher safe and won’t rust. Weck jars have wide mouths for easy filling – which makes this chubby-fingered girl totally happy. I like my desserts to look pretty, and if I don’t have to fit my fingers, a spoon, and food in a tiny space, they’re more likely to be so.

Weck jars are eco-friendly. And my favorite thing of all, they’re just pretty. You should probably go like Weck on Facebook so you can keep up with all their latest products.
