The BEST buttery garlic knots are soft and fluffy on the inside, with tons of garlic and herbs for flavor in every bite!

Combine dough ingredients, adding enough flour until a soft but still shaggy dough forms.

Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8 minutes, or until smooth and elastic. Cover and rest for 10 minutes.

While dough rests, mix together melted butter, garlic, dried herbs, and crushed red pepper flakes (if desired). Set aside.

Divide dough into 12 pieces. Roll each piece into a 7-inch rope, then tie into a knot. Repeat for each piece.

Place knots on a lined baking sheet. Cover and let rise until doubled, about 30 minutes.

Brush the knots with about half of the garlic butter. Bake for 13-15 minutes, until golden brown.

Immediately brush with the remaining garlic butter.
