Frosted Ginger Cookies

These soft and chewy ginger cookies are topped with a sweet and simple buttercream frosting. The perfect holiday cookie!
Challenge Unsalted Butter
light brown sugar
Use a mixer to combine the wet ingredients, then add the dry. Chill for at least 2 hours.
Make the batter
Roll the dough into balls and roll each ball in granulated sugar. Place on a lined baking sheet.
Shape the dough
Bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes. Cool on the pan for 5 minutes, then move to a rack to cool completely.
Bake and cool
Spread buttercream frosting on each cookie and top with coarse sugar for a bit of sparkle.
