Classic Apple Dumplings

These Old-Fashioned Apple Dumplings will bring back memories of Grandma’s house!

Peel and core each apple. Place them in a bowl of cold water with some lemon juice to prevent browning.


Prep the Apples

Roll out the pie dough and cut it into 6 squares. Place an apple in the center of each square and fill with butter and sugar.


Fill the apples

Bring the corners of the pie dough up over each apple and press the edges to seal.


Wrap the apples

Make a syrup with apple cider, brown sugar, and butter.


Make the syrup

Pour the syrup over the wrapped apples and sprinkle with apple pie spice and sugar.
