granulated sugar light corn syrup salted peanuts salted butter vanilla extract baking soda

Bring to a boil sugar, corn syrup, salt, and water. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Add in peanuts and stir until combined.

Start the mixture

Place a candy thermometer into the pot and continue cooking, stirring  frequently until temperature reaches 300°F.

Cook to 300 Degrees

Immediately remove saucepan from heat and quickly stir in butter, vanilla, and baking soda.

Add other ingredients

Immediately pour the mixture onto a lined baking sheet. Spread with a rubber spatula.

Pour onto baking sheet

Once the candy has fully cooled, break it into pieces.

Break into Pieces

Place the peanut brittle in festive packages for gifting to loved ones!
