Dutch Apple Pie, or Apple Crumb Pie, is an easy way to make a delicious apple pie without messing with a top pie crust!
Pie crust for single-crust pie
Apple pie spice
Line the bottom of a 9-inch pie plate with the pie crust and crimp the edges.
Prep the crust
Toss sliced apples with sugar, flour, lemon juice, and apple pie spice.
Make the filling
Stir together flour, brown sugar, pecan chips, a pinch of salt, and melted butter to form crumbs.
Make the crumble
Gently add the apple filling to the pie crust and top with the crumb mixture.
Place on a rimmed baking sheet and bake for about 1 hour. Let cool completely before serving.
