melting snowman cookies

These easy melting snowman cookies couldn't be more adorable or any simpler to make! They'll make everyone think you're a master cookie decorator this Christmas.

Following package directions, mix sugar cookie mix into dough or make your favorite sugar cookie recipe.

Roll 2/3 of the dough into walnut-size balls; flatten these slightly. Roll the rest into marble-size balls.

Bake the cookies until the edges are lightly golden. Let cool completely.

Melt white candy melts over simmering water until smooth.

Use a dot of the melted candy to "glue" the small cookies onto the larger cookies. Set them toward the edge of the larger cookies.

Once the "heads" are set, spoon the melted candy over both cookies, letting it drip over the edges.

Immediately add candy confetti or black candy pearls for eyes and buttons, candy-coated sunflower seeds for noses, and other festive sprinkles as desired.

Let the cookies dry on a wire rack before serving or storing in an airtight container.
