Blueberry Scones

These tender blueberry scones are flecked with lemon zest and topped with a lemony glaze. They're the perfect summer scone!

Rub sugar and lemon zest together in a bowl, then whisk in flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. 


Grate frozen butter into the dry ingredients, then work it in with your fingertips until it resembles coarse meal.


Use a fork to mix in sour cream and an egg, then gently fold in blueberries.


Press the dough into a ball against the side of the bowl just to bring it together.


Pat the dough into a 7-inch circle and cut into 8 triangles. Place on a lined baking sheet.


Bake until golden, then cool for 10 minutes. Whisk together the glaze ingredients.


Dip the scones into the glaze. Let set and enjoy!
