This banana cake uses an unusual method to make it so moist: placing it in the freezer!

ripe bananas lemon juice all-purpose flour baking soda butter sugar eggs vanilla buttermilk cream cheese powdered sugar

Mash the bananas with the lemon juice. Set aside while you make the batter.

Cream the butter and sugar; add the eggs and vanilla. Alternate adding flour with the buttermilk.

Fold in the mashed bananas and spread into a greased and floured pan. Bake.

Remove cake from the oven and immediately place in the freezer for 45 minutes.

Mix cream cheese frosting and spread over the cooled cake.
