Made with only 4 simple ingredients, these 7UP biscuits are a dream! These fluffy, buttery biscuits come together in just minutes and are delicious for breakfast or as a side for dinner.
Place butter in an 8x8-inch pan. Place pan in the oven to let the butter melt while the oven is preheating, about 3-5 minutes. Make sure to pull the pan from the oven once the butter is melted so it does not brown.
In a large bowl, add 2 ¼ cups of the baking mix and the sour cream. Use a pastry blender, a fork, or two knives to cut the sour cream into the baking mix until the sour cream is well distributed and the mixture is shaggy.
Stir in the 7UP or Sprite. The dough will be sticky.
Sprinkle a clean work surface with half of the remaining baking mix. Turn the dough out onto the work surface and sprinkle the top of the dough with the remaining mix.
Using your hands, pat the dough into a square roughly 6x6 inches. Use a floured dough blade, pizza cutter, or knife to cut the dough into 9 squares.
Place the dough squares in the pan on top of the melted butter. Bake at 425°F for 15-16 minutes, or until the tops are golden.
