FAQ

Hi there, thanks for checking out my FAQ page. I get a lot of emails asking a variety of questions. Here is a compilation of some of the most popular questions and my answers! If you have a question that is not answered here, feel free to contact me.

What type of camera do you use?
I used a Canon Rebel XSI until April of 2011. I currently shoot with a Canon 7d and love it more than words can express.

What lenses do you use in your food photography?
I mainly use my Canon 50mm f/1.4 and my Canon 60mm f/2.8 (this is a macro lens).

Did you take classes to learn how to use your camera?
I took one lesson at a local camera store. This essentially taught me how to turn on the camera. Seriously, it was a waste of $40. My advice? Read your manual and take loads of pictures.

Are all the pictures on your site yours?
Yep, they are all mine unless otherwise indicated.

Do you edit your photos?
I use Photoshop CS4 to edit my photos. I try to use a light hand while editing and try my best take photos that look good straight out of the camera.

Where did you get your _____________?
If you are looking for specific prop info, drop me an email…I will gladly share the details.
If you are looking for specific kitchen tools, appliances and gadgets, check out my Amazon Shop. I have included all the fabulous products that are in my kitchen. I have used everything in my Amazon store and recommend all the items listed.

Can I use one of your photos on my site?
Send me an email, more than likely I will be totally cool with it. Just. Ask. First.

Why did you start My Baking Addiction?
I was a middle school teacher and was extremely bored one summer. I thought a blog would be a great way to burn up some time, help strengthen my photography skills and help keep track of all the recipes made in my kitchen. Things have definitely blossomed in 7 years and I am so thankful to all of you that continue to read My Baking Addiction. If I could send all of you a cupcake, I would!

How often do you bake?
Usually about twice a week, sometimes less – sometimes more.

What do you do with all your baked goods?
Let’s just say we have well-fed neighbors, co-workers & family.

Are you interested in reviewing or trying my product?
If it’s relevant to my blog, send me an e-mail and we can chat.

Are you interested in contributing material to my site, blog, etc.?
Again, if your site is relevant, drop me an email, I love contributing recipes and photos to fabulous sites when time permits.

Can I link my site to your blog?
Certainly!

Who developed your blog?
My site was designed and developed by Lindsay of Purr Design.

Who does your graphic design work?
A lot of the graphic design work is done by Chris Graver. He is a graphic artist and rocks my world with his clean, modern style. You can contact Chris with questions at chris.graver1@gmail.com.
