Happy Monday, I hope you have all had a great start to another week! I am delighted to let you know that I am going to be part of an exciting recipe contest promotion for Breakstone’s Sour Cream.

I was contacted back in September and asked if I was willing to create a three course holiday menu that used delicious Breakstone’s Sour Cream as a key ingredient. Loving sour cream and a good challenge, I immediately declared my interest and began planning my menu.

Since the holiday season is always such a hectic time of year, I wanted to create a simple yet delicious menu using typical leftover ingredients from holiday meals. My menu was designed to inspire you to think outside of the box. I have created a modern and unique twist on some familiar holiday ingredients instead of the same old, mundane stand-by such as turkey sandwiches and mashed potatoes.

During the next week, I will be posting three recipes that utilize common leftover ingredients and Breakstone’s Sour Cream. As you can see from the photo, I have some fantastic dishes headed your way. So, stay tuned and get ready to vote, because each vote you cast {starting on November 15th} will enter you for a chance to win up to $1,000 from Breakstone’s; more on this later in the week! Tomorrow’s post will feature my scrumptious Potato Bites, which are sure to be a hit on any holiday menu.In the meantime, head over to Breakstone’s to learn a little more about me and meet my competition.

THE MENU

Potato Bites

These are a mini version of twice-baked potatoes. This appetizer is simple to prepare and can be served without utensils because they are small enough to be eaten in one bite. These Potato Bites are bursting with the familiar flavors of bacon, cheese and Breakstone’s Sour Cream and are the perfect start to a simple meal full of comfort foods.

Individual Turkey Pot Pies

Leftover turkey from your latest holiday spread? Instead of noshing on a mundane turkey sandwich, whip up these simple, individual turkey pot pies. This satisfying entree is loaded with vegetables and turkey in a rich and hearty Breakstone’s sour cream sauce and topped with flakey puff pastry. These turkey pot pies are a surefire way to turn ordinary leftover turkey into something extraordinary.

Mini Pumpkin Tiramisus

Bring a little elegance to your holiday meal without the hours of preparation. These pumpkin-spiced tiramisus have a decadent flavor that will be hard to resist. This delicious dessert starts with spongy lady fingers brushed with Espresso, then layered with a rich, velvety pumpkin flavored sour cream and cream cheese mixture. These mouth-watering tiramisus are best served in mini parfait glasses, providing your guests with the perfect portion. With as little as a twenty minute preparation you can save yourself some time during the busy holiday season without sacrificing taste. Top with chocolate shavings to provide a little sophistication to this simple dessert.

It sounds great, the pot. bites, I love these; I make something like this and also include philly cream cheese. I cook one day a week for all the kids that live at the dorm at the university where I work, and they go crazy for these, I bake the rest of the week. Icheck out your blog every day for inspiring new things, new twists, Thanks so much for all the great ideas.
