I was contacted and asked to blog about the Macy’s Come Together Campaign in an effort to spread the word. COME TOGETHER is an innovative awareness and fundraising campaign that aims to feed 10 million people suffering from hunger. COME TOGETHER invites the public to rally around the cause by hosting special dinners in their homes and asking their guests to pledge a donation to Feeding America. In return, Macy’s will match these donations dollar-for-dollar until the total goal of 10 million meals is reached.
Get Involved!
To get involved the public may participate in three ways Host, Give and Shop. My donation has already been made…I hope you do the same, every $1 helps!
HOST– Friends and families across the country can host dinner parties from casual to formal, send invitations and manage party details including themes and recipes on www.macys.com/cometogether. In lieu of bringing traditional host gifts, guests are suggested to make a donation to Feeding America.
GIVE – Donate $1 directly at any Macy’s register, one dollar provides dinner for seven.
SHOP – Macy’s customers can shop for the cause and get special savings in-store on October 17, when Macy’s hosts a national Shop For A Cause day. A portion of the $5 in-store ticket sales will benefit Feeding America.

I would invite my mom, sister, and both of my sister in laws.
hmmm definitely Jack Johnson, and my good friends who I miss because they moved away, Lisa and Miranda! Then we can all drool over him equally and he will serenade us all night :)
"Real People" -I would invite my older brother (deceased), since I never got to meet him. Then I would have my sister and her kids so they could all meet him too.
"Celebrity" – It would have to be Rachael Ray, Pioneer Woman, Bakerella, and probably Paula Deen because I'd LOVE to cook with them.
My parents, because I miss them terribly, my first husband, so he could see how much his daughter has grown, and husband, so he could meet them all!
I'd invite my BFF Lenora and her three kids. cause I miss them crazy!!
I would invite my 3 best friends and one of their husbands. They all live very far away, and I´d love to have them over.
I would invite my best friend who lives in London since I havent seen her in over a year, Michelle Obama because she is a goddess, Ina Garten because I adore her and everything she cooks, and Roger Federer because he is sexy as hell.
I would have my husband, mom, dad, and sister. It's been a long time since I've seen my mom, dad, and sister since we moved far away from home. Of course I would have my husband too because he is my best friend and likes or at least pretends to like everything I cook.
I'd invite family and friends. For one, I know they would come (unlike George Clooney or Barack Obama) and for another, we like eating meals with friends and family.
