An Update of Things to Come

If you are a regular follower of My Baking Addiction, you may have noticed that I have started to incorporate new content here and there. These series are meant to infuse MBA with a little more flavor and will certainly not overtake the recipe/baking component; merely enhance it. The posts will be randomly sprinkled in and will not follow any type of schedule.

Each of the series were developed because of the numerous emails that I receive from my readers. My thought was to keep track of the questions that I receive via email, twitter, and Facebook and start compiling posts that are helpful, meaningful and hopefully answer some of those questions. As a result, I have listed and described the components I have or will be adding to My Baking Addiction. Hopefully, this not only clarifies some of those questions, but gives some insight into the newest components.

Fundamentals

This is a baking: 101 series that is meant to help the beginning baker learn the art of baking. Fundamentals will include concepts such as the perfect buttercream frosting, how to whip cream, or how to make a basic ice cream base.

Essentials

This section will feature my favorite gadgets and appliances that get regular use in my kitchen.

Beyond the Sugar

A glimpse into my personal life full of random ramblings and proof that I am in fact, a little crazy.

Cravings

This series will feature products, design elements, and just all around coolness for the kitchen. You’ll get your first taste of this tomorrow evening.

Photography

This will show you how I take the photos that you see on My Baking Addiction. It will discuss props, set up, editing software, lighting, etc. It will also probably make you very aware that I have no idea what the heck I am doing…

For the time being, I am going to leave all of these posts within the same RSS feed. However, I may separate them at a later date. If you have specific questions that you would like to see featured in any of these series, please feel free to email them to mybakingaddiction@gmail.com .
