I make all of my holiday gifts and have for years. For many years it was a gift basket of cookies but I got a bit bored with that (even if recipients did not) and each year try something unique. I’ve made candles and soap and even potholders but I have to say…the liqueurs are a big hit. Last year I did a cranberry liqueur and this year I’ve made coffee liqueur (faux Kahlua?). The gift I’m most excited about though? I cured and smoked almost 12 pounds of Brown Sugar Bacon and will be giving close family and friends a pound each. It is so amazing I have a feeling liqueurs might even fall into 2nd place!
