Wow, one year… one whole year I have been writing this blog! As I sit here typing, I am swaying in my chair and singing the lyrics to the 1990′s jam, “It’s Our Anniversary” by Tony! Toni! Toné!
However, I am replacing the word anniversary with blogoversary, because I am cool like that! It’s a damn good thing no one can see or hear me because I way waaay off key and the song in this context makes absolutely no sense!

For my blogoversary, I made The Pioneer Woman’s Italian Cream Cake, and let me tell you – this cake is fabulous!

If you follow me on twitter, you may remember my tweet about having a spoonful of this frosting for breakfast yesterday morning. I did omit the walnuts because Brian is allergic. Instead, I topping the cake with toasted coconut, and it is FAB!

For my blogoversary I wanted to put together a giveaway that would be comprised of some of my favorite things.

Pictured: Pinch bowls & Ice Cream Cone/Snow Cone Holders from Target
Giant Piping Tips and Cupcake Liners from Bake It Pretty (I love this little company!)
Pictured: Microplane and Silicone Spatula from Bed Bath and Beyond
Pictured: Mini Bundt Pans and Brownie Bite Pan by Wilton and purchased at Michael’s. Not pictured: an OXO Cherry Pitter from BB&B and a couple of small additions such as sprinkles and spoons…

Yummy looking cake! My goal for the next year is to bake more to share at work. I used to share often, but have gotten out of the habit. I need to earn my reputation back as a baker!

That cake looks so yummy! :) My goal is to learn how to use fondant and make cupcakes and cakes that have it on them! I love baking and photography so I also want to get better at both of them. Thanks for the awesome giveaway. I hope I win!

Happy blogiversary, and that cake looks beautiful!

My goal for the next year is to rummage through my mother's vintage cookbook collection and try out a few of the recipes (old classics never die)!

I'm not sure if the link to my blog works, so here's my link: http://www.thought4food.us/.

Happy Blogoversary! I have a few goals. One is to post more consistently. The other is to make more family recipes. I inherited my grandmother's recipe box so I want to make some dishes from that. My mom also sent me my other grandmother's pound cake and Italian cream cake recipes. So I want to try those too.

    Happy Blogoversary!

My goal is to lose 10 pounds. After I make that cake, of course.

My goal for the next year is to settle down with the love of my life. I've yet to meet the right one.

I've been drooling over this cake since PW made it, and I think i might have to make it myself now. My goal for the next year is to make a pizza entirely from scratch: dough, sauce and cheese, to learn a bit about cheesemaking in general, and to learn how to shop and eat more sustainably in new england.

    Happy blogoversary! :D

My goal for next year is to take more pictures. I don't have the greatest camera, but I think it's still good to get more uses out of it.
