Are you a coffee drinker? If so, I am guessing you know exactly what a Keurig Brewing System is. I’m a fan of coffee, but rarely drank it at home except for Sunday mornings. You see, I have an issue with getting out of the house on time for work… or, well, pretty much any activity.

I don’t consider myself late, I like to think of it as extremely prompt, meaning down to the last second. Being the I am extremely prompt, there’s not much time for me to mess with a coffee pot… or blow dry my hair for that matter. Instead, I relied on my co-workers to bring me my morning jolt of caffeine. That is, until the Keurig entered my life a few weeks ago.

I was approached and asked to be a Keurig K-Cup Ambassador. The title still makes me chuckle because it’s so official sounding. Regardless of the title, from the moment I opened the box, I have been obsessed with this little coffee powerhouse, and so is Brian. He actually went out and purchased a second Keurig just for his office and now holds 8:30 am “Coffee with Brian” meetings at work.

As a Keurig K-Cup Ambassador, I’ll be posting recipes, highlighting some delicious flavors and hosting a couple of great giveaways. I’ll also be providing you with exclusive monthly promotion codes that can be used at greenmountaincoffee.com.

I’m pretty excited about this partnership and even more excited that in less than a minute I can brew the perfect cup of coffee, head out the door, and continue to be extremely prompt to my destinations!

This Month’s Code

is AM0001-3568, and will give you 15% off of a Keurig Brewing System as well as free standard shipping at Green Mountain Coffee. It will expire on 6/10/11 and will be replaced with a new code.

We got our Keurig for free from someone on Freecycle. I was jumping up and down I was so excited. We have one at work and I love love love it. Lucky you to be partnering with a great company like that! Congrats!

Try using the new Solofill Refillable cups for Keurig. Since there is only one brand of decaf organic coffee offered in K Cups, this thing is awesome. I love it. Works great and coffee tastes better than from a drip pot. Also, it is a green alternative to filling our landfills with kcups..

I am a coffee nut and I have thought about this machine but was a little skeptical at first about just how good a cup it can brew, but your words are pushing me to the edge of buying one. Hmm what to do??

I’m soooooo in love with my K machine!!!!! We got one at work about 5 years ago and I went out and bought the exact same one for my home about a month later (with huge coupons of course!). I tend to be “extremely prompt” myself. That combined with the fact my hubby doesn’t drink any hot drinks ever and my flavored coffee A.D.D. (I make several flavs a day) makes my machine my fav! I even bought the one size brewer for the vacation property that we rent. LOL! Looking forward to all your new “titled appointment” has to offer. :)

Where did you get the coffee stand and drawer? BB&B?

      Jean–
      Yes, it’s from BB&B.

we are a keurig obsessed family. I just want you to know that if you ever take a vacation and your keurig travels with you, I will not think it strange. Because that’s how we roll over here :)

I received a Keurig as a Christmas present from my bosses just this past year and I absolutely love it!! I’m not a huge coffee drinker…just one cup a day (maybe 2!)…so it’s perfect for me. Plus, I love all the different flavors, the hot apple cider, the hot chocolate, etc. Now that it’s summer, I need to find some of the “brew over ice” k-cups so I can try those. Thank you so much for featuring the Keurig and look forward to your giveaways!

I loved my Keurig until it stopped working a little over a year after buying it. If you have one, be sure you de-scale it every 3 months with white vinegar. The directions are in your manual or you can Google it. I miss my Keurig!

I like my Senseo machine. The Keurig plastic cups made me decide against it. The Senseo uses filter pods, which means less plastic trash.

Sorry – they look interesting and the blue simulated Cherenkov radiation about the water supply is cool, but I’m not crazy about the coffee I’ve had from them, and I’m not particularly happy with the idea of having to buy and store those little plastic cups. Maybe it’s the water temperature or the pre-packaged ground coffee, but honestly I get much better results with good beans, a good coffee grinder, a Melitta or a Chemex drip pot, and water at ~205 degrees.

    1. Vicki in GA says:

I use the machine once in a while but won’t buy the cups because the coffee isn’t strong enough for me. I do grind beans and use a little mesh cup that I bought for the machine. If I make a smaller cup of coffee, it is strong enough for me. Water doesn’t get any hotter than 190 and I know for GREAT coffee water must be hotter.
