So you’re probably not shocked that as soon as I learned that you can make a delicious dessert dip with the Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes, I had to try it immediately.
I hadn’t thought about using the snack cakes to make recipes like christmas tree cake balls or this dip, but I’m all in now.

What is Christmas tree cake dip?
If you’re the kind of person who gets excited when they see the boxes of Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes appear every holiday season, you’re gonna love this dip.
This recipe is a twist on cream cheese fruit dip. It has the same base of cream cheese and whipped topping, but adds Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes right into the mix.
You get all of the sweet, delicious flavor of the snack cakes, but the tangy cream cheese helps balance out the sweetness. The whipped topping adds a fluffy texture, making the whole thing totally irresistable.
If you’re looking for one more easy no-bake treat to round out the Christmas season, this is it. Make it for a Christmas party, a holiday movie night, or even for New Year’s Eve.

How to make Little Debbie Christmas Tree dip
If you can mix a few things together in a bowl, you can make this dip.
Ingredients you’ll need
To make this recipe, you’ll need:
- 2 boxes Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes
- 8 ounces room-temperature cream cheese
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 8 ounces thawed Cool Whip or Truwhip
- festive Christmas sprinkles

Each box of Christmas Tree Cakes contains 5 snack cakes. You’ll need 9 of them for this dip. That means you’ll have 1 leftover to enjoy with a cup of coffee, slow cooker hot chocolate, or a Christmas White Russian later!
Make sure your cream cheese is softened to room temperature before you make the dip. If you forget to set it out ahead of time, check out my tips on how to soften cream cheese quickly.
Topping the dip with red and green sprinkles is technically optional, but definitely adds to the festive flair and makes it extra cute for holiday parties.
Making this dip
Grab a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment or a large bowl and an electric hand mixer.
Add 8 of the Christmas Tree Cakes, the cream cheese, and the vanilla. You may want to cut the cakes into chunks before adding them to the bowl to help as you mix.
Beat the mixture until smooth, then switch to a spatula and fold in the Cool Whip or TruWhip.

Place the dip in a serving bowl, then top with festive sprinkles. Press the remaining snack cake into the top of the dip for decoration and to let guests know the flavor to expect.
Cover with plastic wrap and chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
Serving suggestions
I love serving Little Debbie Christmas Tree dip with vanilla wafers, animal crackers, gingersnaps, or graham crackers for sweet dippers.
Fresh fruit, such as strawberries or grapes, are also a great option.
And if you love a little sweet-and-salty bite, try serving it with pretzels!
